When using PROOF, we recommend spraying both the inside and outside of your suitcase to give maximum protection. You should spray until the surface is damp, but not wet. Let the surface you spray dry before placing your clothes inside the bag.
We have sprayed PROOF on clothing and this does provide added protection but can cause mild staining on some fabrics, so please do a test spray first. We have not had any issues with staining on clothing that has contact with surfaces where the PROOF that has dried before contacting the clothing.
Regarding the safety of exposure to skin, we have not seen any issues with this. The active ingredient we use in Proof is organic Cold Pressed Neem oil. All other ingredients in PROOF are food grade. In developing Proof, we use the only EPA registered cold pressed neem oil. This is the purest and highest quality of unmodified neem oil. Neem oil has a long history of safe use in products like cosmetics, soaps, shampoos, toothpaste and skin lotions. There are many neem based toothpaste or skin products currently available in retail organic stores.
